Speaker
Information
The Mile-High Dowsers
monthly meeting begins at 7 pm with the speaker being introduced at
approximately 8 pm. It is expected that the speaker will arrive by
7:30-7:45 at latest for the schedule to run smoothly. The speaker will
be
presenting roughly from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
A brief bio-sketch (speaker
credentials) should be provided to the speaker-chair prior to the talk
to enable
an appropriate introduction for the Speaker. A brief descriptive
summary/write-up of the presentation and photo of the Speaker should
also be
provided to the speaker-chair in electronic format, at least two (2)
weeks in
advance of the presentation date, so the talk can be advertised to the
members,
posted on our website,
and promoted over the internet.
If there are any speaker
audio/visual needs such as microphones, overhead projectors, a podium,
white
board, electrical hookups, etc… the speaker should discuss these
needs initially with the speaker-chair upon booking the talk, to
determine if
these materials are [or can be made] available through the Clements
Community
Center. Any costs associated with the handouts to be distributed during
the presentation are the responsibility of the Speaker.
If the speaker will be
selling books, materials, audios, videos etc. after their talk; the
first $100
in sales go directly to the speaker. For all sales over $100, a 10%
donation is expected to be made by the speaker to the Mile-High Dowsers
treasurer.
The
presentations should reflect upon aspects of dowsing or be applicable to
dowsers; alternative healing; energetic medicine; or energetic healing.
The presentations are not to focus on selling, promoting the Speaker’s
business, or soliciting of the Mile-High Dowsers membership.
You can
expect
between 35-60 members/guests in attendance.
All guests
to the Mile High Dowsers meeting: $5 admission fee.
